-
m-relay<monerobull:matrix.org> there should be haveno android apps soon™
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> Game changer!!
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> Good idea haha.. still haven't ordered upgrades for my laptop.
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> That may be a better route, I imagine it's a much better CPU
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> Hope you are well [@monerobull:matrix.org](https://matrix.to/#/@monerobull:matrix.org)
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> And everyone else too of course.
-
m-relay<monerobull:matrix.org> i think your laptop is still the way to go, youll need an SSD either way :P
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> SSD without a doubt but 60 gbp for a SSD - Or a similar u it like that dell optiplex that had double the ram and a SSD... But as I type I realise it has a low capacity SSD that would need changing anyway

-
m-relay<monerobull:matrix.org> you might be able to find a cheap mini pc with a bigger ssd but i dont think the performance difference between the laptop and the 6500t is that big
-
m-relay<monerobull:matrix.org> the optiplex is not the greatest example anyways
-
m-relay<monerobull:matrix.org> i have HP Prodesk 400 s
-
m-relay<monerobull:matrix.org> bcs of the nvme slot
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> I'll give the laptop a little upgrade and see how we get on.
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> I will get round to it asap. Just other priorities at the moment unfortunately.
-
m-relay<xmrpatchwork:matrix.org> I use my desktop for general browsing and a couple steam games so don't really want to use it's resources for a node n what ever too

tio_da_linhahello good day
-
tio_da_linhamy monerod keeps slowly chomping moar and moar memory :
-
tio_da_linha
-
tio_da_linhathe version is :
-
tio_da_linhaMonero 'Fluorine Fermi' (v0.18.3.4-release)
-
tio_da_linhaits running on an ubuntu server 24.04, and it was built from source, any clues why?
-
» tio_da_linha also blatantly chills his pool, soontm.xyz
-
tio_da_linhahum im running one thread of xmrig with the stratum self select, on the same machine and im running a slightly modified version of jt-grassie's monero-pool
-
m-relay<ct:xmr.mx> tio_da_linha monerod builds up a sort of cache in the ram over time, but will happily return the memory if some other process needs it
-
tio_da_linhaif that helps anything yesterday it was at 11% memory usage now its at 15% it has 50 inbound connections and 50 outbound connections, at wich memory level should it stabilize?
-
tio_da_linhaoh
-
tio_da_linhaso its all hunki doori you mean?
-
tio_da_linhaok
-
tio_da_linhathe only question that remains then is when xyz ? :D
-
tio_da_linhabbl
-
m-relay<ct:xmr.mx> Should be fine yeah, unless you notice other programs not getting enough ram/monerod not releasing it
-
m-relay<ct:xmr.mx> If you think about it, empty ram doesn't have any benefits, so it makes sense to keep as much in fast memory as possible
