<ravfx:xmr.mx> Is it possible for the IRC bridge to keep the IRC people connected on matrix even if they disconnect from IRC.
-
br-m
<ravfx:xmr.mx> You know, I don't leave the Matrix room every time I close or reboot my computer... And it's not like libera Monero rooms allow annons to connect now anyway

I have issues with retoswap because of the monero daemon. is the issue known and can someone share some background information why it happened and if there is a fix?

-
DataHoarder
yes, and no. I can't assure it's the same person as they reconnect. their nick might be equal but be different people
-
DataHoarder
they also cannot be messaged or pinged, nor will they see messages meanwhile
-
DataHoarder
I track the away status for active IRC people
-
DataHoarder
Matrix now gets to share the joins/parts as well :D

Hello. How can i see the process of the fetching of the whole blockchain? Because I selected the local node option in monero-wallet-gui, specified a bootstrap node and the thing is working. And I can see how the lmdb directory is increasing in size but I cannot see the progress. 2 questions: how do i see the progress? When it finishes, can I just copy the lmdb folder from my desktop to my server
-
sakura1312
and start a node using monerod?

br-m
<nhnn:nhnn.dev> sakura1312: as long as they're using the same architecture, yes.

<nhnn:nhnn.dev> what does wallet show instead of daemon synchronization progress?
-
sakura1312
"Wallet is synchronized" and "Daemon is syncrhonized"
-
sakura1312
but lmdb keeps growing
-
br-m
<nhnn:nhnn.dev> sakura1312: but daemon logs show that sync is still in progress, right? (Settings -> Log in monero gui)
-
sakura1312
Hmmm. I'll change the log level and restart the daemon, it hasn't logged anything since an hour ago
-
sakura1312
Yes, there it is. 2%! at 1kb/s :^3

I'm creating a monero node and plan to make it public in Tor & I2P I guess, as it is my node, it would be as private as if I was running a node in my local machine. right? I'm running monerod in another machine in my LAN
