DiffieHellmanThe instructions at docs.getmonero.org/running-node/monerod-tori2p seems to be wrong. You also need rpc-bind-port=18089 for the curl command to work (which seems to be rpc-bind-port=18081 by default). Also disable_noise in anonymous-inbound causes monerod to lock up and fail to start.
-
DiffieHellmanAlso, is it possible to use both tor and i2p tx-proxies at the same time?
-
selstaDiffieHellman: yes, you can use both at once
-
selstait will default to i2p and fall back to tor from what I remember
-
DiffieHellmanAh, I see you can add a second tx proxy line for i2p
-
luckieduckiehello - how do i change the p2p pool in guimonero to another pool ?
-
Cindyyou mean disable p2pool?
-
Cindyand mine off of a centralized pool?
-
luckieduckiefrom monero wallet to a centralized pool - like bybit pool
-
luckieduckietheir stratum
-
Cindyluckieduckie: use xmrig directly
-
luckieduckieok thanks
-
Cindyluckieduckie: may i ask why though?
-
Cindydoes bybit offer something that p2pool doesn't?
-
DataHoarderbybit doesn't even have a monero pool
-
br-m<seekdalooper:matrix.org> Cindy: maybe low hashrate? infrequent payout? or maybe cus they can sell directly on bybit?
-
DataHoarderthey won't be able to. they have no pool 😆
-
br-m<liuliu0206:matrix.org> hello
-
shaneHello
-
br-m<ofrnxmr> olleh
-
br-m<plowsof:matrix.org> yes > <DiffieHellman> Also, is it possible to use both tor and i2p tx-proxies at the same time?
-
br-m<plowsof:matrix.org> DiffieHellman the guide does indeed assume 18089 as the rpc port - could add a note if that should be more clear - e.g. assumes yo uare using the template config @ docs.getmonero.org/interacting/monero-config-file/#templates . "disable_noise in anonymous-inbound causes monerod [...] fail to start" -> this works. something else is going wrong or not set up correctly
-
plowsofthere is also #monero-docs room to report any other issues
-
br-m<ofrnxmr> @plowsof:matrix.org: disable_noise isnt valid for anonymous_inbound — it's a tx-proxy modifier
-
plowsofah yep, thanks, i even double checked the config file and blended the 2 lines into 1
-
br-m<ofrnxmr> docs.getmonero.org/interacting/monerod-reference/#tori2p-and-proxies there's also a link here that explains what it does
-
br-m<321bob321> when will monerod use json log type?
