ErCiccioneCould somebody take a look at this page: getmonero.org/resources/developer-guides with Chrome or internet explorer and let me know if you see the missing icon as described here: monero-project/monero-site #1751 ?
-
anarkiocrypto[m]I only have Tor Browser but maybe you can try this: browserling.com It generates a virtual machine with the desired browser and you can test it.
-
ErCiccioneyeah i tried it in past but didn't get reliable results, will give it a shot anyway. Thanks anarkiocrypto
-
ErCiccioneah no was something else, this one has only Windows. Still useful tho.
-
anarkiocrypto[m]Here is another one: onworks.net
-
anarkiocrypto[m]Sorry if it can't help
-
anarkiocrypto[m]Anyway it looks like both the file and globe are emojis, but the Github icon is an image. Maybe the user's default font in IE/Chrome doesn't support all emojis, so the globe is blank, but Firefox has a different default font? Maybe it would be useful to use e.g. Font Awesome to display all icons consistently or use images for file and globe (same as Github).
-
ErCiccioneanarkiocrypto: thanks for the link. Yeah that was the problem. Using unicode emojis are not consistent and reliable, so i replaced them with svgs (as i did before with the roadmap). I PRd the fix: monero-project/monero-site #1755

NicholasvonKlitzWhat's the state of Monero hardware wallets?
-
plowsof[m]Trezor or Ledger?
-
Ingeafaik they work fine
-
IngeNicholasvonKlitz ^
-
NicholasvonKlitzWhat happend to kastelo.org/?
-
rottenwheeldon't ask. lol
-
IngeIt just seemed to have faded
-
plowsof[m]You
-
plowsof[m]would need a factory to mass produce them to be able to sell at a reasonable enough price
-
plowsof[m]The Dragons Den would certainly have some questions about how profitable these could be
-
LOzbek[m]<plowsof[m]> "The Dragons Den would certainly..." <- Dragons Den. Lol
-
LOzbek[m]<NicholasvonKlitz> "What happend to kastelo.o" <- faded away, same happened with kovri (huge fail)
-
gingeropolouseh, kastelo had a different thing going on imo
-
gingeropolousfrom what i recall, there was some indication that part of its motivation was to kick the for-profit companies into gear (trezor / ledger )
-
ErCiccionesomebody is working on another Monero hardware wallet btw. Or at least they were not too long ago
-
gingeropolousand on that it succeeded
-
xmrscott[m]Kovri and Kastelo are not too dissimilar at the human layer; disharmony between members on the project caused contributors to drop out and the project to ultimately become stale
-
msvb-labIs this working, I'm in a airplane?

Ingemsvb-web: you have reached irc in the future however. AFAIK airplane internet access was a novelty around 2004-ish
