I'll try to rephrase the suggestion. If you want to create a marketplace and have the concern that Mumuks expressed, then Monero Outreach (staff and contributors) coud be a good source of help.

Better to have a WooCommerce Monero marketplace than no Monero marketplace (especially as existing online marketplaces require exclusionary KYC payment methods that many people don't even have access to, such as banking and credit cards).

My plan right now is to submit a CCS proposal within two weeks. I read the instructions, but practically what do I need to do to make the process go right? How long does the proposal usually stay in the "idea" phase before it goes to "funding required"? And how is it decided when that transition occurs?

Yeah. I was thinking of having the design more akin to BitWasp, in that it is centralized, but self-hosted

OpenBazaar was difficult to install in Whonix Workstation and required you to host your own store.

Whereas with Ebay, you just need to create an account and can sell things immediately (at least for people who can pass KYC to get Paypal/bank account...).

Maybe your software could allow public multi-seller marketplaces, so someone could run a public Ebay-like marketplace (and maybe monetize this with fees). If someone just wants an online store that is more secure than WooCommerce, they can download your software and disable multi-seller feature so they only sell their own products.

That's not a rule but most proposals go like this afaik

as to how fast it will proceed, this depends in part to what feedback the proposal gets

the more positive and numerous the feedback the quicker things tend to go

the previous track record of the person also means something

I said LLCs masquerading as workgroups leads to volunteers signing NDAs. I suggest that LLCs make it clear that they are in fact LLCs and not try to hide their own status so that expectations are clear from the start.

Monero Space forming an LLC was discussed at length in several public channels, and the reasons why were made clear

anyone can form their own LLC. nothing against that. I am against long time volunteers leveraging their history with the project to get special treatment for their LLC and designate it as something it's not.

why not list Cypher Stack as a Monero Workgroup too while we're at it?
