Hello everyone! I have a spare old laptop (200 H/s). I was wondering if mining with it (solo/p2pool) would help the network in any way, given that I will probably never mine a single block... I understand that the algorithm attempts to be egalitarian, but isn't there a minimum hardware requirement or H/s, so as not to be a waste of time/energy?

Honestly, it's not even worth your time. You would be earning less than $0.50/month and spending much more than that in electricity. As for helping the network, you would be adding 200 H/s to 3,000,000,000 H/s... you be the judge :D

1) Install the WaaS Docker image on a VPS

2) Go through a terminal-based setup wizard, giving the XMR/WOW view keys and BTC/BCH XPUBs so that the WaaS can generate new addresses. No private spend keys are given to the server unless you ask it t generate the wallet for you.

3) Write descriptions of the wishes and set the goal amounts.

4) Make your website configuration point to the Docker instance

5) When one of your wishes is 100% funded, you have to deliver!

can also touch on the community node list. i set up a little experiment and made 2500~ transactions from around 800 nodes, with no high fees found

sech1 suggests that it is possible an attacker can perform a 'pop up shop' attack where they rent hash power , throw a malicious node up , and mine the block containing the high fee
