i know a guy that is into 'internet of things' - he has this DIY setup of charging / discharging his phone depending on its battery %

and there are pre-made usb stick devices that do the same thing (to extend battery life)

On devices that I can, (rooted or built into the os) I like to keep my battery around 70-80%.

All of my mining phones are running on 5w/1amp chargers and heat isnt too bad. On my tablet battery - Samsung - there is a stock 80% limiter. I've seen no noticable battery degradation mining 24/7 on it for 6months now.

That sounds cool though. I would probably set mine to drain to 35%, charge to 100, then drain to 80 and hold. Once a month or so.

I have a Samsung galaxy S6 lite. I'm going to install Lineage OS on it. Then with this I can run a node using the above repositories?

There have been specific devices that dont like monerod. Huawei p20 for example.

Ive had no issues with Samsung phones or tablets, but i myself have not tested the node on lineage
