I'm conflicted on whether DNS through namecoin or native on monero would be better.

Actually kinda leaning towards piggybacking on NMC if the swap can be hidden from the user. NMC scales better than we do, and trying to build our own NMC in monero would make our codebase disgusting.

Yeah same, monero is complicated enough as it is. I'm watching that 34C3 talk right now though and the proposed UX seems pretty rough, I wonder it that's why we never heard any more about it.

Hi all! Just want to share that I've added some preliminary currency conversion to HotShop. You can select USD/EUR (or no alternate currency) in the HotShop settings and have it display the conversion amount.

Additionally, I've added a copy-monero-address-to-clipboard when you tap the QR code, and also added a node compatibility checker tool to test if your personal node you're using for HotShop is 'web compatible': sunny-malabi-a3b5ff.netlify.app

In the near future, i'll be adding a checkbox that allows you to display the alternate currency as the primary currency/have the numpad alter the alternate currency rather than XMR

as usual, only test amounts, don't provide any serious wallet info and there will be lots of bugs (already found a bad one :) )

When I get the 'display exchange currency as primary' checkbox in there, I'll probably consider this milestone (2) complete, FYI.
