Yes, I think there will be little or no Monero content, the typical Monero groups are just providing Bitcoin at the event. I think even all the ATMs and POS terminals have Monero disabled for this event.

1. Everything is almost certainly fine.

2. The issue is very likely related to the wallet restore height. In the GUI go to Settings, Info, and change 'Wallet restore height' to a few months before the wallet first received a transaction. If you are unsure of the date, you can set the restore height to '0' and sync the full Monero blockchain. After you change the wallet restore height the wallet will go through syncing again, and should show your balance correctly

when the process is completed.

3. #monero-support:monero.social is the place for support. I see that you posted there and were advised that it isn't 'official' support, but it is still the place to get support (just not in any official capacity). You are asking for/receiving help from anonymous strangers on the Internet, and should keep that in mind.

Does anyone knows how to register on libera.chat? I am behind a vpn, but when I try to connect to libera.chat it says my ip range needs to connect using SASL with verified email. But SASL requires a password which means I have to connect anonymously first to register, but it does not allow me to connect anonymously. Is there a possible way to register without using my own real ip or purchase a 4g proxy?

well, no. I had planned to be involved in a podcast, reporting on the event as a follow-up to a podcast I did last year, but this will no longer be happening.

I had also planned to distribute flyers at the Oslo event - and this did not happen (mainly as I was advised against it on the original CCS and also privately on IRC).

With this in mind, I propose to refund a portion of the CCS to the General Fund (i.e., refund the initially projected cost of the prep for the podcast and the cost of the initially proposed flyer printing). This is because the originally planned work could not/was not completed. As per the CCS rules, the XMR attributed to this work should get refunded to the GF.

The second payout is supposed to be 4.25 XMR. I propose refunding 2 XMR to the GF, which equates to roughly €300 at current rates (€100 for the printing, and €200 for the four hours prep time for the podcast).

I have no well prepared presentation @plowsof, just reminding that the hackers conference of Paralelni Polis (HCPP) is next week.

The official direction has cancelled all Monero technology from the conference,

but the good news is that fiat is cancelled as well. There is a strong presence

of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and the official currency system is Lightning.

We did this due to lack of participation and a lot of Bitcoin groups wanting the

opportunity that Monero usually abandons.

MRL have endorsed DF;s proposal, i see no issue from moving forward with it

Other good news is that electronic badges produced for the conference are fully

open, meaning that the Bitcoin logic stored on them can be replaced with Ethereu

m, Monero, or any other currency technology.

For example, if anybody stops by the badge clinic, we can show how to replace the Bitcoin logic with Monero.

IMHO, with things like this building the userbase is harder than building the app. You need a buyer and a seller for the same set of goods/services. Very hard to generate the networl effect.
