you don't have to always add --db-salvage

and constantly running log 4 is a bad idea, it produces massive amounts of data

yep...I guess it is solved now. I removed the log 4, just for testing purposes.....But I thought monerod would bypass any firewall blockade at router level...I was caring the host only firewall.

what if the router is beyond reach to a normal client?

there are few of us who can access our routers and do the settings...but majority don't have either that privilege or lack the know how on messing with a router's firewall settings.

I am thinking of the way torrents do is like changing ports or the like...can't monerod do that or has it not been thought in such aspect.
