I'm kinda disappointed in the note on the Oscar proposal. It reads:

It does not hint at the controversy, and sounds like an optional read, which I don't think it is. Also it is placed the at the end of the proposal in the same font as everything else, making it easy to miss. I couldn't have hid it better if I tried to.

This is not what I had in mind when I suggested it. It misses the point that **only** people should donate who support the specific idea, not just Monero in general.

I care. People know that Monero is one of the least scammy Cryptos, and by approving proposals the community gives their mark_of_approval. I think that leads many donors to chip in, without doing thorough research, effectively negating the "vote with your wallet" part.

They don't always approve proposals the community likes or they sometimes merge proposals the community is completely against

People shouldn't really expect CCS to care about community opinion

I don't remember disapproving something the community likes. Usually the community is split, otherwise there would be no controversy.

Personally, i'm would not like monero / community / ccs to be credited as having any involvement with this film.

New Cake Pay Web update is live. More Mastercards and a bunch of new UK merchants: McColl's, Prezzo, Iceland, Pizza Hut, Harvester, Farmfoods, Carpetright, Browns, Sainsbury's, Morrisons. I don't recall which of these were supported before :P
