naphtha777[m]
wait i just realized i misunderstood what you said
-
plowsof11
you need an extra one for the change output iirc
-
naphtha777[m]
tried slicing the destination array to 24 addresses but it didnt work
-
naphtha777[m]
16 didnt either
-
naphtha777[m]
highest destination amount that worked was 15
-
RavFX[m]
<naphtha777[m]> "highest destination amount..." <- because the #16 is the change
-
RavFX[m]
I guess if you spend the output(s) completely (no change at all) then you can do 16
-
naphtha777[m]
<RavFX[m]> "because the #16 is the change..." <- > <@gfdshygti53:monero.social> because the #16 is the change
-
naphtha777[m]
> I guess if you spend the output(s) completely (no change at all) then you can do 16
-
naphtha777[m]
yeah that makes 100% sense but i still dont understand why transfer_split doesnt work at all
-
naphtha777[m]
anyways i did my own bootleg transfer split implementation
-
naphtha777[m]
waits for 10 blocks between 15 destination transactions so its slow but at least its faster than sending to 1 recipient at a time
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Lol wut
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Reinvent the wheel with corners? huh?
-
naphtha777[m]
hey it works
-
ofrnxmr[m]
I can send to 15 people every 10 minutes even if i only have 1 input in my wallet
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Every 20mins*
-
ofrnxmr[m]
And i can send them all at once
-
ofrnxmr[m]
1 recipient at a time? What blockchain are you using?
-
ofrnxmr[m]
its 15 Recipients per tx + 1 change output
-
naphtha777[m]
yes, thats what im doing, im sending 15 at a time
-
naphtha777[m]
my problem is that i have to send to more than 15 people
-
ofrnxmr[m]
naphtha777[m]: ^
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Bootleg?
-
ofrnxmr[m]
The official implementation is a round wheel
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Why bootleg it?
-
naphtha777[m]
it doesnt work for me
-
ofrnxmr[m]
User error
-
naphtha777[m]
probably
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Depending on your expencted volume, you need to keep change
-
ofrnxmr[m]
If youre writing this softwsre, make it auto split your inputs into 16 if you end up with 3 or less
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Aka self spend 15 outputs
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Then sent to your people
-
ofrnxmr[m]
* Aka send your self 1 output split into 15(16)*
-
naphtha777[m]
why 16 outputs?
-
ofrnxmr[m]
because its good for privacy
-
ofrnxmr[m]
anything other than 2 and 16 are rare
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Also the size difference is negligible for a 1/16. Might has well use all the outputs you can if youre running a service that requires keeping a float
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Take 16xmr outout, send to yourself in 1xmr/16x (just sent to wallets subaddress or whatever). Now you can send 15*15 transactions at once
-
ofrnxmr[m]
15*15 every 20 mins
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Kk gnite
-
ofrnxmr[m]
also, i tend to think this convo is better suited for Monero Community Dev or Monero

<naphtha777[m]> "why 16 outputs?" <- I'm pretty sure that was explained previously.
-
TrasherDK[m]
ofrnxmr: While I appreciate your urge to educate, your patience is exemplary. This person, naphtha777 , does not seem to comprehend, the answers given.

It's pretty much, like mining btc with a CPU.

Rucknium[m]
What is a good image to represent the EAE attack? Not necessarily literally a diagram, but some way to visually represent it? For my Monerotoptia presentation I used a screen capture from the Breaking Monero video (page 30):

I like this one (though it's technically EABE, and I'm not sure how well it might fit)

(Also, according to the [comment](
libreddit.de/r/Monero/comments/idcf…y_solved_this_monero_defcon/g2gd6h0), it should be EABCE? But that doesn't seem right...)
-
Lyza
I remember it being called EABCE before. I think it just got kind of shortened, but with a small ring size or a lot of repetitions of the EABCE pattern, I would think it could be analyzed broadly the same way
