You need more ram

RavFX: It is an old travel computer, not in daily use.

For this reason, I've thought of desoldering the ram and trying to upgrade the (insane) hard way. It's BGA probably over a hundred contacts.

If you know how, and have the proper tools, it's relatively easy.

So I assume the SPD location is in you're bios instead of on the ram. You might need to patch that too.

Oh RavFX yes that sounds really easy, ha. So I have the proper tools and experience to desolder BGA, just no XRay but probably not needed.

I'm going to abandon the idea, because I didn't even think about SPD. I'm not going to spend a half year on this.

lpddr4 is easy to work desolder, reball and solder because the pin pitch is large
