Do we know if cypherstack have conducted similar audits of this type before? As far i understood it, we contracted specialised security firms to do similar in the past. Perhaps that is what cypherstack is now?

Oh i see, it's not a security audit of an implementation. It's just a peer review of a the journal paper and math. Is that a correct understanding?
