<fengzie:matrix.org> Hi plowsof , I did a try with the front end repo yesterday, but didn't manage to run. It might be due to my incorrect local nodejs environment. I have a glance of the code and it costs time to study. I prefer to continue working on Mobazha to provide the features.
-
m-relay
<fengzie:matrix.org> Mobazha is almost a marketplace ready-to-use, while we need integrate Monero. (We have Tor inside but not enabled and fully tested).
-
m-relay
<fengzie:matrix.org> We are fine to try to continue to work on Haveno-ui for its delivery, which might cost more time for us to get familiar with and understanding. Meanwhile we would like to make Mobazha Monero integrated going as well, as we are sure about it and we could provide user as alternative.

<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> What exactly do you offer that is different from XMR, Bazaar, made by Douglas, Tumen, and Team, and MoneroMarket.io?
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Those are both Monero marketplaces that are on the clear net. I think you said yours offers tor support.
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Is it decentralized? Like open bizarre intended to be? Or is it centralized and just offers a tor hit in service?

MajesticBank
big NO for openbazar / mobazha. its a dead project and will never be working
-
MajesticBank
neither 10mil or 100mil can make that thing profitable
-
MajesticBank
putting money into it will just make some profit for dev, it will never be profitable as project
-
MajesticBank
because it doesn't have market position, it's too hard for average user which have ebay/amazon
-
MajesticBank
and the other side just like the good old tor
-
MajesticBank
tech is there tor + monero, selling stuff on some dex is too shady for next 10 years probably
-
MajesticBank
and touching haveno-ui fund is also big NO, without mobile users haveno will not stand a chance
-
MajesticBank
someone must complete and UI beside we should have some serious community run instance asap

-

putting it simple average human spend how long in front of pc if not dev? probably 1 hour
-
MajesticBank
and in front of a phone? 16 hours

The Mobazha team are mobile / react devs, thats the main reason i suggested they consider haveno-ui. I share the same opinion about any openbazaar fork.. venture capitalist funding couldnt save it

<xmrfamily:matrix.org> it basically cuts out all the back and forth where people ask "are you available" and then "can i buy" and then i have to ask how much and then they have to ask what the rate is and then etc etc I get one notification providing the incoming payment info and the address to send to, so then as soon as payment is confirmed I can just send directly to their wallet. like I mentioned in<clipped message>
-
m-relay
<xmrfamily:matrix.org> the group it would be technically possible to automate this even further but the banks I'm using don't have decent APIs to handle incoming payments and I'm not super comfortable with the idea of running wallet software with my keys stored on a publicly accessible webserver. this isn't a replacement for LM, there's no escrow or crypto wallet services. it would basically be just an<clipped message>
-
m-relay
<xmrfamily:matrix.org> optimization of the intial trade setup between a buyer and a seller directly. the seller/market maker would have to host it themselves on their own domain (or I can provide it as a managed service where I setup all the web shit for them and they just have access to an admin console to manage trades)I wouldn't be able to setup a site where multiple vendors trade or have accounts. <clipped message>
-
m-relay
<xmrfamily:matrix.org> as it stands right now there's no accounts, the only "vendor" is myself and the only people who can open trades are my trusted buyers. I still have to manually handle all the settlement and when I want to change things I have to actually modify hardcoded values in the code, there's no support for another seller for example to set their own terms or anything. but if that's somethin<clipped message>
-
m-relay
<xmrfamily:matrix.org> g people are interested in I could build out an admin dashboard and help set it up for other people. but it would be one instance per person, not a shared website. so each trader would have to have their own domain (From the creator, not me)
