<preland:matrix.org> Hello?
-
m-relay
<xmrfamily:matrix.org> Hi
-
DataHoarder
<@rucknium:monero.social> DataHoarder: We are waiting for your CCS proposal to fix Matrix/IRC comms :)
-
DataHoarder
actually sort-of working on a double-puppeting bridge that is not the can of worms that
github.com/matrix-org/matrix-appservice-irc is
-
DataHoarder
and has proper behavior, people and communities on #libera-matrix were also curious about it
-
DataHoarder
not under a CCS sadly, energy was just enough to start the project directly
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> ofrnxmr silverpill majesticbank cryptoguard the kycnot me entry has been updated for basicswapdex to show all sides of the discussions, please note that pluja has to constantly ride the line of being non-biased / transparent to the user and encounters these dilemmas with services on a daily basis and has no team to actually review code and such

<sgp_:monero.social> luigi1111: I posted the MAGIC address on the research CCS for when you get a chance
-
luigi1111

-
m-relay
<sgp_:monero.social> kayabanerve kayabanerve pls ^

hinto-janai full-time work on Cuprate (3 months) has moved to funding!

<john_r365:monero.social> Charles (he/him): further to what Rucknium said about starting with the Bitcoin whitepaper. The annotated cryptonote whitepaper could be a next stop:
downloads.getmonero.org/whitepaper_annotated.pdf - and also the publications here (
getmonero.org/library) such as zero to monero and mastering monero

<j0j0xmr:monero.social> Has anyone heard from hackerindustrial? I DMd them 6 weeks ago and they haven't even read the message.
-
m-relay
<rottenwheel:kernal.eu> Nobody. He's been MIA for months.
-
plowsof
usual pattern, and then he returns... and now he is head of the forensic investigation into the ccs hack, and yet again, not a word
-
plowsof
even if he where to appear today/tomorrow/next week - the fact that vthor has shown more progress on the polyseed->python implementation in 3 hours than what was achieved in several months
-
plowsof
spending time to create a website/blog was a slap in the face also... should be working on the ccs :D
-
vthor
plowsof: I'm polyseed sends me at the moment down the rabbit hole of int8, int16 and unsigned arithmetic, spent more time hunting the issue, then I needed to produce (the wrong) code (but should be only in one (or probably two) methods :/
-
vthor
I think I need to step away from the screen, I see already no numbers because of to much digits.
-
m-relay
<j0j0xmr:monero.social> Very weird. Guess those results won't be coming any time soon.
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> You may NOT under any circumstances include a donation address directly in your proposal. This circumvents the CCS, and can lead to scams.
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Your rules not mine
-
plowsof
presidential pardon
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Mission creep
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Give an inch, take a mile
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Also waiting on gf report soon™️
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Cant take a month to do, doesnt get used

<mike.bacoinin:matrix.org> Hello people 👋
-
m-relay
<mike.bacoinin:matrix.org> If this mean that you have determined/agreed that SMSG ("inspired by the BitMessage protocol") is indeed P2P 👍️
-
m-relay
<mike.bacoinin:matrix.org> ...and 🙏 that the protocol/implementation might be need to be audited in the future
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
<mike.bacoinin:matrix.org> the p2p network part technically is as in the corresponding Bitcoin Core version
-
m-relay
<axmasta:matrix.org> I just want EVM tyranny to end tbh /jk
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> So what are my monero niggas using nowadays? bisq or haveno?
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> bisq is slow and expensive af
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> in haveno you sometimes have to press buttons 2-4 times and the liquidity is currently pretty low
-
m-relay
<privacyx:monero.social> Haveno 💯
-
m-relay
<privacyx:monero.social> Its only 2 weeks old though I have faith it will grow
-
m-relay
<privacyx:monero.social> Wow monero mining hash rate is up 2.8GH
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> True, spread the word
-
nioCat
mining scam coins died
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> Btw, I don't think everyone knows how to install it tho
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> some people are too brainlet
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> its gotten way easier
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> you literally just go to github and download the installer
-
nioCat
and then? lol
-
m-relay
<privacyx:monero.social> Thats all the old zeph miners jumping onto XMR
-
nioCat
who were monero miners b4
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> oh nvm, didn't check before
-
m-relay
<privacyx:monero.social> Its easy peasy Github >> haveno-reto>>>install
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> yeah I haven't checked haveno in a while
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> what is the advantage of haveno-reto
-
nioCat
ok so install is easy now, is it easy to use?
-
m-relay
<conk:monero.social> It has a network
-
m-relay
<conk:monero.social> Which makes it usable
-
m-relay
<conk:monero.social> The original repo as well as other repos don't have a network
-
m-relay
<conk:monero.social> Which makes them useless to actually use
-
m-relay
<conk:monero.social> The original repo as well as other forks don't have a network
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> Thanks for explaining
-
m-relay
<conk:monero.social> Anytime homie
-
m-relay
<privacyx:monero.social> Come on install and take a dive
-
m-relay
<privacyx:monero.social> 😎
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> Is there a monero-chan room anywhere? I need it for research purposes
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> we used to have a mega
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> 😭
-
m-relay
<zavoc:nitro.chat> Monero belly.. erotic..
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> do we have any backup?
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> the mega had everything, even some hentai
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> all gone now
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> probably because of the hentai lmao
-
m-relay
<preland:matrix.org> Why am I not surprised lol
-
m-relay
<silverpill:poa.st> Yes, it appears to be a distributed database, we didn't dig much further.
-
m-relay
<silverpill:poa.st> Assessing the quality of code is out of scope for kycnotme, so it was decided that BasicSwap should have "peer to peer network" attribute, but also marked as "beta", and also the links to relevant discussions were provided.
-
m-relay
<silverpill:poa.st> Why it wasn't on torrents? Torrenting via I2P is easy these days, qBittorrent can do that
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> It was constantly being added to by the guy behind it
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> Torrents aren't that great for that
-
m-relay
<silverpill:poa.st> Even if archive is constantly being updated, I think doing snapshots once in a while is good idea. Better than losing everything
