<fiat-demise-ms:monero.social> Hello, I'd like to learn more about taking over the tipxmr CCS. It's been open for close to 4 years and hasn't yet met the first milestone. I also believe the solution is flawed because it uses RPC, which limits it to only 1 wallet, and thus 1 streamer per site. My solution would use LWS, which will handle tips to multiple wallets simultaneously. Please let me know next steps. htt<clipped mess

FiatDemise just a small correction about tipxmr
tipxmr/tipxmr #43#issuecomment-2184913777 , it is one instance for many streamers. in that comment they share where they are currently at in development, and as the repo commits show, development isnt totally abandoned, but definitely slow (to put it nicely)
-
plowsof
using LWS over monero-wallet-rpc (they would be using multiple instances i assume) is a huge plus point for your idea FiatDemise as this scales. and would definitely be required if people hosting the service plan to make a profit with the voluntary fee % set at a competitive 1-3%. my only worry with a voluntary fee is that a big streamer, may just

trial the service for 1 month. if they received alot of donations, they may just decide not to pay and feel that its worthwhile to learn how to use shadowchat. the community can see how they feel about your request to replace the tipxmr teams project having not yet shown competence in that specific area of development (my understanding is you will

be managing the project and hiring developer(s) to accomplish it).
-
plowsof
and in the bounties room you mentioned your team will be lifting some/most of shadowchats OBS integration. so the full tipxmr funds (72) which was to develop something from scratch might be more than required, depending on what your actual milestones are: it would be best to make your ccs merge request to gather feedback

<recanman:kernal.eu> It takes your primary address + secret view key then generates integrated addresses for viewers, does not require a browser wallet

is xmrchat opensource? is this your project you wish to replace tipxmr with? ""All work must be licensed permissively at all stages of the proposal.."
-
m-relay
<recanman:kernal.eu> Can be licensed permissively but doesn't mean it has to be released
-

<recanman:kernal.eu> Maybe that should be corrected, it is a technicality

The recent bounty from fiatdemise
bounties.monero.social/posts/138/0-…treamers-and-podcasters-with-monero. The goal was to absorb the odysee bounty funds. Now im wondering why xmrchat was never mentioned

Its just out of scope there as its a personal endeavour, but seems like a ccs (unless closed source?) hm

<fiat-demise-ms:monero.social> At a 2% fee, a streamer that earned $1000 in the previous month in tips only has a $20 cost to continue using it. No brainer for vast majority. I think the cost would need to be MUCH higher for a content creator to be motivated to hire someone with technical skills to install and setup shadowchat, AND pay the ongoing costs for hosting and maintenance. For rare big streamers, I bel<clipped mess

<fiat-demise-ms:monero.social> Please delete that bounty. I would do it myself, but I don't see a way how. I started work on xmrchat before I knew anything about bounties, CCS, or tipxmr. When I saw the Odysee bounty I thought it was a good way to get that ~12xmr to contribute to something related that's better vs something obsolete.
