<321bob321:monero.social> So whats the go with monero.town?
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Coming back or retired?
-
m-relay
<recanman:kernal.eu> It is coming back, just waiting for ddos to cool down AFAIK
-
nioCat
wen ddod protection
-
nioCat
or ddos
-
m-relay
<recanman:kernal.eu> Something that would mitigate the issue very quickly is cloudflare but monerobull doesn't want to move it to them (that is a good thing)
-
nioCat
is that all there is?
-
m-relay
<recanman:kernal.eu> Pretty much
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> There is other cdns
-
m-relay
<recanman:kernal.eu> Yeah, bunny is good
-
m-relay
<recanman:kernal.eu> I haven't checked with him since a few days ago but that is all I know
-
m-relay
<recanman:kernal.eu> The only one I have experience with administrating is cloudflare
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Niocdn when?
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> hm
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> bunnycdn costs per GB and im not sure if you can disable tor exit nodes
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> banning exit nodes would also kinda suck
-
m-relay
<nononynous:monero.social> The sender send a packet without wanting to receive it (timeout errors)
-
m-relay
<nononynous:monero.social> Apparently the PoW filter isnt activated at all on seednodes
-
m-relay
<nononynous:monero.social> Is there a developer knowing where is the torrc file or args used for the seednode in the software ?
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> i just paid for another year of hosting, you can bet your ass its coming back
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> just checked, jup, still gettind ddosed
-
m-relay
<dinoterminator:matrix.org> Hi everyone
-
m-relay
<dinoterminator:matrix.org> Has anyone used the monero-cpp library?
-
m-relay
<monerobull:matrix.org> ah fuck it, trying out cloudflare
-
nioCat
not bunny? bunnies are cute
-
nioCat
good luck

-
m-relay
<dinoterminator:matrix.org> Do you have libmonero-cpp.dll? I tried to build it, but it didn't work.
-
m-relay
<woodser:monero.social> yes it's included in the monero-java project:
github.com/woodser/monero-java/tree/master/lib/windows
-
m-relay
<dinoterminator:matrix.org> woodser: you're the developer of that lib, cool.

<hudson:4d2.org> @woodser, hi. Can I link statically monero-cpp to windows project?
-
m-relay
<dinoterminator:matrix.org> .a static lib for UNIX. Is it possible to link a vindows to it?
-
m-relay
<woodser:monero.social> it's currently built as a shared library, but should be able to build a static library and link to it by changing this line:
github.com/woodser/monero-cpp/blob/…aba0875be95cd3a/CMakeLists.txt#L283

-
m-relay
<dinoterminator:matrix.org> woodser: where can I find examples of using this lib, adding this lib to a project under Windows?
-
m-relay
<woodser:monero.social> one example, monero-java imports the monero-cpp library in CMakeLists.txt to create a new library which depends on it:
github.com/woodser/monero-java/blob…312df44eec711227/CMakeLists.txt#L90

<hudson:4d2.org> @woodser what does this line in your repo's instructions mean: clone repo if installing standalone (skip if building as part of another repo like monero or monero-ts)

-
m-relay
<woodser:monero.social> monero-cpp's already included as a submodule within monero-java and monero-ts, so if you're building it from those projects, no need to re-clone it. in your case, you're trying to build it for a different project, so you'd need to first clone monero-cpp, then build the libs you'll use
-
m-relay
<dinoterminator:matrix.org> Is libmonero-cpp.lib available or can we generate one?
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> Damn that person got around the privacy space reeeeal fast
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> Also question: is monero-cpp currently able to build for non-native platforms
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> Asking before I rewrite the whole thing in vain because I missed it in the makefile or smth
-
m-relay
<woodser:monero.social> there's no cross-compiling support in there now, so it has to be built for each platform natively as far as I know, but that would be nice additions
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> Ok just making sure
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> I’m resuming work on the universal macOS build, which is why that’s applicable (you’d have to build for both x86 and Arm, so cross-compiling would have to happen)
