Monero should be advertised as swiss account for securely storing your money and hiding it from the government and other criminals.

"Monero is Money" - we don't need Monero for money, we can use regular banking systems Mastercard/VISA and FIAT for that.

it's nice that we strive for scalability and UX but I think it's #1 utility will be for securing big amounts of money, like swiss acounts of the old days

you pay tax from selling coins to FIAT

but even as a tax payer, you don't need to show them how much you have in crypto

that's where Monero shines for me

in many cases you trigger tax from any conversion

if you want to do it properly

i only use Monero

not just X to fiat, but every jump you do or spend

so if you spend -> taxable event

if you receive it as income -> taxable event

you hold it -> not taxable unless there's a wealth tax

sure, but still - its not a crime to have hidden stash of coins

(as regularly done)

yeah, taxman usually cares about profit/loss amounts and not absolute, unless, wealth tax ofc

i pay crypto taxes, not looking to bypass them but it's nice that government does not know how much in total i have

they only know how much i sell

I only use cash, nobody knows how much is under my mattress

but they can easily check it out by force and take it...
