br-m<tomdooley:matrix.org> yep, more systems hashing now. this is a beautful and easy way for people to setup monero mining farms
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> The "farms" all still need to run xmrig, so this isnt any different than gupax or running p2pool manually
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> (main difference is the umbrel)
-
br-m<tomdooley:matrix.org> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: the main point is umbrel, its the gupax of umbrel
-
br-m<tomdooley:matrix.org> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: plus its way simpler and easier to use than gupax. just install and open, put address in= mining. I know it's your favorite new app, but what else is on your mind me president, besides the obvious
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> How is that more simple than gupax?
-
br-m<user2570:unredacted.org> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: It is not, it can be simple only if you already have an umbrel server. Currently, manual editing of Umbrel monero node docker compose file is needed.

br-m<gnomon_lxv:matrix.org> I've got some XMR stuck in an Coinomi wallet, errors whenever I try to send. Support has taken forever and achieved nothing to recover them elsewhere. When I restore the wallet to cake or anything, going way before 1st transaction date, it works but shows no XMR. Cant get a straight answer out of these people on whether they [... too long, see mrelay.p2pool.observer/e/kvnyiuQKTVRnNmlz ]
-
br-m<syntheticbird> @gnomon_lxv:matrix.org: Alright so first of all, that's not the correct channel to ask support. Secondly, you're the first person i've seen here using coinomi. Finally, coinomi is a proprietary wallet, supposing they haven't stole your funds (very unlikely), there seed format might be accidentally compatible with monero's [... too long, see mrelay.p2pool.observer/e/ypH_iuQKWnQ4VW1q ]
-
br-m<syntheticbird> therefore not seeing your funds in cake wallet
-
br-m<gnomon_lxv:matrix.org> @syntheticbird: don't ask me how I ended up on their garbage app, and I apologize if this is the wrong room. I had to convert the seed in order to restore it, it was absurd. I think I just eat the loss and take the lesson
-
br-m<syntheticbird> @gnomon_lxv:matrix.org: np for wrong room and all my condolences for your loss
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> @gnomon_lxv:matrix.org: Try restoring the seed into another wallet (like, one of the wallets listed on getmonero.org/downloads)
-
br-m<syntheticbird> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: > When I restore the wallet to cake or anything
-
br-m<syntheticbird> I think he already tried
-
br-m<ofrnxmr> @syntheticbird: Did he wait for the wallet to finish synching though :D
