<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> PSA: everyone needs to remove your offers IMMEDIATELY, there is a protocol exploit being actively used
-
br-m
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> From woodser, re haveni/retoswap
-
br-m
<jpk68:matrix.org> Is this related to Bisq?
-
br-m
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> retoswap/haveno
-
br-m
<puchis233:matrix.org> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: Thank you. I hope you can fix it soon. Please update when all is ok.
-
br-m
<r4v3r23> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: whoa
-
br-m
<ivan8or:fireship.rip> whoa

br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> 😔 ai will be finding bugs in bisq and people in monero are like it's a worthless random word generator
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> @kiersten5821:matrix.org: Prove us wrong
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> Take a LLM, discover multiple vulnerabilities in monerod
-
ro1m
@syntheticbrid AI is not going anywhere...
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> make a write up about it
-
br-m
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> let me know when you find a bug worth 12 btc
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> otherwise ai is smarter than you
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> Just because I break my sentence doesn't mean I consider bisq to be a proof
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> If you want people to reconsider do as i just said
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> @kiersten5821:matrix.org: very mature response
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> factually true as well
-
ro1m
kiersten do you believe that AI is here to "stay"?
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> for some definition of stay, yes
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> @kiersten5821:matrix.org: whatever turning people against you is not gonna lead you closer to your goal.
-
ro1m
yes, so don't you believe it's important to adapt it as early as possible, because it's inevitable that it will get to the point (Claude Mythos as an early example) of finding extremely critical vulnerabilities in software?
-
ro1m
After all, as I like to say, nothing is impenetrable. Even something that's shut down, offline, disconnected, whatever you want to say. There is still some way to hack it.
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> @syntheticbird: whether or not a person helps themselves is not up to me, neither is the benefit mine
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> @kiersten5821:matrix.org: "I'm so much into progress and have the noble goal of bringing X into Y that I feel free to be hostile to people against X because they are simply not helping themselves accepting X" is an interesting character design. Bold of me to assume I could have a discussion with you.
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> ro1m: it already has
-
br-m
<proxypagos:matrix.org> Everything’s hackable given enough resources, chill.
-
ro1m
I do believe that AI hs some-what damaged the human's strong understand of subjects though. It is extremely hard these days to learn a new programming langauge without AI because the temptation. We've all had those problems in programming that are *really* hard to solve, but when you use AI to solve that problem, you don't gain the same
-
ro1m
understanding as you would have if you solved it yourself.
-
br-m
<midipoet:matrix.org> @syntheticbird: I also like bringing X into Y.
-
br-m
<midipoet:matrix.org> It's a lot of fun
-
br-m
<syntheticbird> either ro1m is world champion in keytyping or he is a copy pasting alt account to serve someone else narrative. The former is surely more plausible than the latter.
-
ro1m
What's the problem with my typing?
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> it's too fast
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> you must be a hacker
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> it must have been you!
-
ro1m
I just have an abnormally fast WPM compared to the average human.
-
ro1m
@syntheticbird also I don't push any narrative but my own, which isn't really a narrative at all, since that's technically what everyone does.
-
ro1m
So in a way, I didn't do anything but burn a fraction of a calorie.
-
br-m
<jpk68:matrix.org> Do you really think that Anthropic, an AI corporation in kahoots with the DOD, is going to give Monero access to Mythos out of pure benevolence or something?
-
ro1m
I would assume not, since they probably just want it for the big names for marketing and branding reasons.
-
br-m
<jpk68:matrix.org> Yes, one would think that would be the clear answer here
-
ro1m
Scroll down to the "identifying vulnerabilities and exploits..." section of
anthropic.com/glasswing
-
ro1m
Look, they got a testimonial from Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, crowdstrike, Google, and more. It's 100% for marketing.
-
br-m
<kiersten5821:matrix.org> highly doubt that anyone involved in the bisq thing had mythos either
-
ro1m
Closing thing that monero could get is probably
chatgpt.com/cyber
-
ro1m
Which I haven't personally tried, not sure how "remarkable" it is.
-
ro1m
Closest*
-
ro1m
And it's primarily based towards just individuals, not projects/companies/organizations.
-
br-m
<jpk68:matrix.org> "users must complete a government ID check"
-
br-m
<jpk68:matrix.org> Any takers?
-
br-m
<jbabb:cypherstack.com> this just stops "suspicious" requests from being refused > <ro1m> Closing thing that monero could get is probably
chatgpt.com/cyber
-
ro1m
Nope.
-
br-m
<jbabb:cypherstack.com> so you can use the usual tools that're publicly available for certain usually-forbidden topics
-
ro1m
Oh, I thought this was a model.... I guess not...
-
br-m
<jbabb:cypherstack.com> somebody using their real life name, go sign up
-
ro1m
That's hilarious, if you ask something that they detect as a cybersecurity "action" (whatever the hell that means), they block it unless you do this.
-
br-m
<jbabb:cypherstack.com> correct
-
ro1m
I'm not so sure that anything from OpenAI can do anything meaningful in cybersecurity anyway, even without this "safe guard".
-
br-m
<jpk68:matrix.org> Someone must have been in a hurry to make this webpage. The "What do I need to verify?" section is duplicated
-
ro1m
That's funny.
-
ro1m
Now we know the webpage was created with AI. hilarious
