<thomasbuilds:matrix.org> It would be nice to simplify the normie user experience. I know privacy has trade-offs, but I think continued attention to improving this is needed.

That applies to every project, however, because the protocols and tech moves so fast people are just concerned about getting the tech out.

sharing the main address is fine

it just happens to be the 0,0 account/index

<rbrunner7> Can it be that some little part of Monero's problems in public perception are perfectionists that go round and give people the impression only "max privacy" is acceptable, e.g. with advices like "sharing main address is bad"?

<horizon-foundry:matrix.org> Banking attendants make you jump through 50 hoops to do a wire transfer and give you a full on interrogation about about who you're dealing with for "security" purposes, which is actually just for "aml", data logging ones. If you're going to make the infrastructure to solve a problem, you should probably advocate for the best practices first and foremost.

Insisting that even the smallest transactions have the same protection as the people doing 100k plus deals.

There is some specific known spam patterns that get filtered
