was wondering if anyone could merge
monero-project/monero #7823 - seems like it's got an LGTM and the commits are squashed, should be good to go
-

I prepared #7891 and #7892 for master and release-v0.17 branches respectively. These are for p2pool. Please review
-
sech1
Also #7893 and #7894 - wallet scanning fix for p2pool payouts

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could point me to the right direction, I'd like to implement monero into a mobile app, but I have no idea how to implement monero wallet rpc into that app. I don't want remote wallet RPC (each user would need their own wallet rpc?). The app is being written in react native. Thank you.
-
selsta
did you look into existing mobile wallets?
-

selsta
they use wallet2_api as far as I know
-
bon[m]
Thank you, seems like they are using the wallet2 api.

jerfo
To clarify: Are subaddresses + payment IDs discouraged in favor of integrated addresses, or vice versa?
-
UkoeHB
jerfo: If you mean attaching a payment ID to each subaddress in your local record, then yes that is recommended instead of integrated addresses (recording payment IDs in the blockchain).
-
selsta
jerfo: integrated addresses = payment ids, subaddresses just have an index

rajeesh_the_stre
is there any truth to the claim that Snipa was removed as lead maintainer/developer (whatever position it was) for political reasons? have any of the core devs commented on this?
-
UkoeHB
Who is claiming that?
-
UkoeHB
It sounds like he stepped down - was not removed.

-
UkoeHB
rajeesh_the_stre: It isn't an impossible story, however it's just hearsay with equal and opposite hearsay from one of the involved parties (luigi1111). So, the best you can do is judge the reputation of both sayers at this point. Better to ask Snipa himself if you are concerned.
-
rajeesh_the_stre
alright. could you link me to whatever luigi1111 said about this? just wanted to know if anyone has confirmed or denied the claim.

selsta
rajeesh_the_stre: please ask in #monero-community, this is not dev related
-
mfoolb
is there a shareable reason why there was no update about this stepping down after this
web.getmonero.org/2019/12/16/technical-responsibilities-update.html?

mfoolb: #monero-community . Good night.

rajeesh_the_stre
<UkoeHB> "rajeesh_the_streetshitter: https..." <- thanks, this was very helpful
-
mfoolb
thanks mj-xmr[m] read the logs and luigi1111w sentences but (being totally honest) I found a bit strange that there was no 'official' information shared with the community.. I mean, I read here sometimes, I read getmonero, I browse monero on reddit but I didn't know that until today after that questionable tweet

moneromoooo
Oh ffs, this is fucking -dev. Talk code of gtfo.

moneromoooo
How hard can it be ?

pls respect this dev channel, the monero devs are under no obligation to talk about what they're doing in the open ( i enjoy seeing the activity, be it here or github and im sure others do too ) they can so easily just make a private group and poof nothing more to see here
