It was fixed. And promptly reintroduced by some other patch.

I did not bother to debug again since it's harmless (well, the original one was anyway).

Well, IIRC it was not 100% fixed, just massively lessened. It was still technically racy.

Oh, that. There was a patch to revert, which likely broke old standard libs (or that one anyway).

easy low ball question: is there any difference between a txid and a transaction hash? The terms seem to be used interchangeably in the wallet RPC. Also is there a formal definition of the relationship between a 'transfer' and a 'transaction'? I'm guessing 'transfer' is a wallet concept that doesn't really exist at the protocol level (there are just transactions)?

They are two words for the same thing.

A transaction is the actual thing that goes onto the chain. A transfer is not something with a specific definition.

Transfer was probably chosen to avoid confusion.

transfer is a verb, the act of creating a transaction. transaction is a noun.

could as easily have used the word "transact" instead of "transfer" ...

makes sense, my question arose from seeing many transfers from a single transaction from `incoming_transfers` rpc call

incoming_transfers has one entry per output.
