  the only signal rusts stdlib has that works for windows/unix is SIGKILL, I could send the OS signals myself but I wasn't sure if it was worth it

  although I have access to SIGHUP now that i'm connecting p2pool to a PTY and it seems to handle it well, it doesn't wind down like with int/term though
