If you make multiple parallel RPC calls to a remote daemon from the same machine, is there any additional latency you'd expect? Latency as in, the average request time of parallel calls is higher than for a single call.

Yeah it could conceivably happen if you access a resource behind a mutex

Solo mining means you need to run a node, and have 2+ GB RAM free for mining. So at a minimum 4 GB RAM, 80 GB SSD space (for pruned node)
