m-relay<keepemup:matrix.org> Does monero CLI allow for "coin control" I.e granular control over which outputs you spend for a txn
-
m-relay<gingeropolous:monero.social> keepemup: im not sure if CLI does, but i read that feather does
-
m-relay<gingeropolous:monero.social> wait, now that i think about it, i think you can freeze outputs in the CLI
-
plowsofyep, freeze and thaw (i always type unfreeze)
-
m-relay<keepemup:matrix.org> Indeed, but it becomes less feasible with many outputs, and selecting a single output, like feather,is much more convienent. Its puzzling how this isn't a standard feature in the reference wallet software

m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> PRs welcome
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Also, closed mouths dont get fed.
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> to be fair, most wallets didnt implement coincontrol
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> only had cli or feather to choose from but in recent months, mobile apps have implemented it. ..some better than others.

rbrunnerCoin control is also very nice way to shoot into your foot. It takes some background knowledge to be better than the automatisms in the wallet. But well, many many people think they are genius, right? :)
