Looking at the code, I guess I was wrong to be surprised. I guess that Monero allows up to 1MB transactions, even though the wallet typically limits at 100kB.

Which, assuming I am correct, seems like useful information regarding monero-project/monero #9317

aremor, sech1: I think moneromooo once explored this idea

I did, it was doable though pretty hairy, but there was two drawbacks: IIRC a signer could tell which output was the true spend in other signers' rings, and there was a need for a lot of back and forth between signers to build a tx.

I think it's somewhere on one of my branches on github, but it was PoC level.

I think it did work for the general case though.
