m-relay<lm:matrix.baermail.fr> Hello, I'm looking for an example of a zmq request from curl. My goal is to check if a node is zmq compatible. Checking if the port is open is not enough for me.
-
sech1curl is not the right tool for this. You might want to check ZMQ sample pub/sub client and modify it for your needs
-
m-relay<lm:matrix.baermail.fr> I was asking for curl to understand the request easly. So it's not an http request ? Is zmq for monerod the same thing as any project using zeroMQ ?
-
moneromoooAIUI zmq uses a binary format, not HTTP. The overall framing will be the same as other projcets, but the messages will be different.

m-relay<sbt:nope.chat> Hello. I had a naïve question, how likely can I understand monero code and contribute, given I am a beginner in C++ and not good with math.
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> read issues, run software and find issues, find and fix issues
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> also look at prs from other ppl
-
m-relay<sbt:nope.chat> thank you. will do

moneromoooYou do not need to understand all monero code to start contributing.
-
moneromoooBeginning in C++, not gonna be easy, but if you concentrate on small localized things to begin with, it should be ok.
-
moneromoooMath isn't needed beyond math required for typical programming. You can hack on monero and not touch any crypto.
