mj-xmr[m]selsta: so far I updated the relevant scripts: monero-project/monero #8264 , because as my corporate boss would say: "If you had a plane crash, what would happen to the code?"
-
orly_owlhow often do you fly your plane mj-xmr[m]?
-
mj-xmr[m]Haven't flown since 2.5 years. Guess why.
-
orly_owlplane crash
-
orly_owlmakes sense
-
mj-xmr[m]Of course the plane crash comment was worth mentioning, because a few people in the team (me and an arabic female) starting to shook our heads about how materialistic that comment was.
-
mj-xmr[m]The real reason is, that you shouldn't update tests together with the code, that the tests are supposed to test, if the tests are broken anyway.
-
mj-xmr[m]And here we aren't even at the moment of updating the tests, but merely at preparing the tests to work in a reproducible way.

selstamj-xmr[m]: can you continue in the same PR? otherwise it will probably take weeks to get this merged and it will slow progress down
-
selstae.g. have one patch for fixing the scripts and one for fixing the tests
-
selstaboth in the same PR
-
mj-xmr[m]Sure.
-
selstamj-xmr[m]: I still don't understand how transactions work when this is on mainnet
-
mj-xmr[m]The mainnet might be used for read-only operations there. I'll have a deeper look later, but the fact that Haven don't rely on mainnet, only testnet, does hint something.
