If its similar to the nano, then install ledger live, update firmware, install the Monero support on the ledger, and when starting the GUI choose restore from ledger or something. It will create a .keys wallet file still, but you can only use it with the ledger connected and unlocked

Hello. Will the developers allow me to place files for building the flatpak package in the monero-gui repository? Github CI will build it and publish it in Flathub.

Example - github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/tree/master/CI/flatpak.

My variant is not yet ready and contains a lot of garbage commits, this will not be in the final. :)

But I don't know what to do with the extra files. There are .desktop and metainfo. In the flatpak room I was told that I need to make cmake install these files. Is that a problem or not?

would be nice to get a flatpak maintenance ccs for BigmenPixel for similar rates to the whonix one ccs.getmonero.org/proposals/adrelanos-debian-package.html

heres the issue, monero core/maintainers arent in control on the flatpak side where verification takes place. if the monero project is fine with that, then i am. to be clear, i have nothing against BigmenPixel, i trust and use the flatpak already. so like either the monero project needs to control it or BigmenPixel needs to be blessed.

As it is, its already in flathub.

Anything making it more secure / more oversight is better

yes it should be being built out of the monero projects repo, but it makes the "verified" part moot. people going to flathub to get the their monero wallet should know that its verifibly verified 😁
