<n​eospal2:matrix.org> An interesting development in my quest to get Monero installed and operating on my Linux Ubuntu 24.04. Yesterday I was able to get it to show up in my Apps Search and present me with an icon that included an install button. I clicked on the "install" and it looked like that was successful. I then went back to my "installed Apps" list and found the icon there, but it now had an "op<clipped message>

<n​eospal2:matrix.org> en" attached. Great, I thought, so I clecked the "open" button and received this message, "idconfig failed exit status 256". Since I had no idea what this meant I decided to shut it down and come back on another day to wrestle with that. This afternoon I decided to take a look. I searched my Apps and found the Monero icon. For the hell of it, I clicked the app and....much to my s<clipped message>

<n​eospal2:matrix.org> urprise the App opened and displayed options for setting it up. The "idconfig failed exit status 256" was gone. So I pinned it to my dash and now have it running on my Ubuntu. I have no idea what brought that on. By the way, the setup offers several setup options from "Simple Basic" to "Advanced with the block chain download" even though I am a Beginner I am considering set it up <clipped message>
