There was, people started using the -lab meeting for all dev stuff too, it's been... years I think.

If a dev meeting does not appear, then I would put the issue on the MRL meeting agenda. It's a question of whether devs want to hold a meeting. IIRC, the last #monero-dev meeting was about two years ago.

<j​babb:cypherstack.com> I would find a more generic, non-cryptographic monero-dev meeting (not related to Seraphis nor FCMP++ except in terms of their integration) helpful and moreso as we approach major changes such as these. There's plenty of non-cryptographic work to do in preparation for and later in integrating these updates and I've always felt MRL meetings are for the cryptographers. Us code mon<clipped message>

<r​brunner7:monero.social> Well, Monday's Seraphis wallet workgroup meeting is established and could be broadened, or re-purposed, as a kind of everything-except-research meeting. It came to be that nobody is building a Seraphis wallet anytime soon :)
