not edited for 4 years (the one on the home page)
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> rando nothing reverted / modified on that file. i was remembering the whonix' page which described monero as a 'reasonably private' cryptocurrency
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> what is monero seems to have an edit where untraceable and unbreakable where removed from some texts but the untraceable in the title remains.

<basses:matrix.org> Inspired by QubesOS website description

gitlab mirror: pull mirrors are only available for the paid version (not for us free version grifters)
-
plowsof
29$/month, but the actual cost would be getting people to learn how to navigate the gitlab UI
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> plowsof forgejo is a FOSS and decent alternative to gitlab (that's what I've been using)
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> there is no paid version, security features are up to date and it is built with privacy in mind
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> It's the software behind codeberg.org
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> maybe considering moving from gitlab to forgejo in order to easily backup monero important project and and so people don't have to learn a new UI?

» m-relay <rottenwheel:kernal.eu> laughs at the idea of core migrating, or rather, pay to migrate the whole gitlab shitshow to ... fill in the blank
-
m-relay
<123bob123:matrix.org> Yeah nah
-
m-relay
<123bob123:matrix.org> 16.04

m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> just mirror it to codeberg lol
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> Gitlab is more bloated than Github imo
-
m-relay
<rottenwheel:kernal.eu> Not laughing because one is worse or better than the other, laughing because I know "Core" won't do shit.

<basses:matrix.org> Need a competent sysadmin for Monero project that is trusted

<basses:matrix.org> btw the new monero site redesign proposal have reviewed and decreased total cost

<rottenwheel:kernal.eu> That, we have. What we don't have is adequate DevOps. Read: leadership. Soft skills a bit too... Tsk, tsk. rbrunner7 rbrunner

<basses:matrix.org>
translate.getmonero.org doomed 😭
-
m-relay
<123bob123:matrix.org> This has been labelled “soon™️”
-
m-relay
<rbrunner7:monero.social> rottenwheel: Not sure what you hint at, that would possibly touch me too. The sorry situation that "Core" really isn't anymore, and we have a leadership deficit?

Oh migration? No, i wouldnt wish gitlab on my worst enemy. simply a pull mirror of the monero repo. And with us being behind cloudflare its unusable for a dev who wants to ssh clone the repo. Weblate on the other hand featured in my ccs under 'the bad' followed by 'just look at it' + the link
