the seed is both priv&pub key

I see, I see. So I just need my seed and I can "recover" my wallet

private spend key is derived from the seed, everything else is derived from the private spend key (in the official wallet)

darn I was about to suggest that

two big reasons

1. The Matrix plugin is semi-broken; it produces dependency hell issues in some environments.

2. The vi keybindings plugin is very awkward.

Epsilon: My Matrix problem is not in a client, but I need to change the IRC bridge for #monero-hardware from Freenode to Libera. Without finding access information first. Or remembering how to configure bridges.

For mining, what do you take? Just the best computer component around I guess

for best results use the best cpu you can find, but what's nice is you can pretty much any cpu made in the last decade to mine

most older stuff won't be profitable on electricity use though

you can use gpu's too but xmr is more efficient with cpu mining
