Error: ring size 2 is too small, minimum is 11

this sucks. I typically run my daemon on my server but I can't because I am currently homeless and it is in storage, so only have my crappy laptop which I really don't want to download the blockchain onto. Public nodes seem to all have their ring size set to 2. What other options do I have?
