<sgp:magicgrants.org> I think so?

<123bob123:matrix.org> Wasnt jeffro looking at this?
-

<compdec:matrix.org> Are the outputs on a Monero transaction similar to Bitcoin with one output going to the recipient and one going back to the sender as a change address, or am I misunderstanding something?
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> You have 16 output (one of which is the real output).
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> But yes, part of it go to a recipient stealth address while the other part to back to your stealth address (change)
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> They are nothing like bitcoin in the sense that you can't make who sent it, who received it and the amount
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> You can take a look at that explorer
xmrblockexplorer.org
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> And see the difference compared to btc transaction
-
m-relay
<compdec:matrix.org> thanks. I think you mean 16 inputs to a ring I think. It does seem that the Merkle Tree is verified in a similar fashion as bitcoin then.

<frightsi:waifuhunter.club> hi guys
-
m-relay
<frightsi:waifuhunter.club> this isn't the first time I've done P2Pool mining thru my wallet, so I'm not sure why it is asking me now:
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
<frightsi:waifuhunter.club> is it safe to proceed?
-
sech1
If you updated your wallet, or delete p2pool folder, it will ask again
-
m-relay
<frightsi:waifuhunter.club> it was Windows Security
-
sech1
Add Monero GUI folder to antivirus exceptions
-
sech1
all Monero stuff triggers antiviruses
-
m-relay
<frightsi:waifuhunter.club> yeah i finally did that now
-
m-relay
<frightsi:waifuhunter.club> lol
-
m-relay
<naphtha:kyun.host> did you get your wallet from getmonero.org?
-
m-relay
<naphtha:kyun.host> there's a fake phishing website getmonero.app
-
m-relay
<naphtha:kyun.host> and i dont know why its still up its been like a month
-

<plowsof:matrix.org> SetupMonero.rar 🤔
-
rbrunner
Yeah, that makes my heart sing. The clearly malicious file "SetupMonero.exe" inside there gets a crystall clear "0/66" on Virus Total
-
rbrunner
"No security vendors and no sandboxes flagged this file as malicious"
-
rbrunner
Whereas our legit GUI app installer gets flagged by probably half of all these nice "vendors".
-
rbrunner
Sandbox execution finds out that it sets the registry key "HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\WMI\AutoLogger\Circular Kernel Context Logger\Status"
-
rbrunner
Totally legit.
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> Maybe we can contact the creators to reduce our detection rates lol (surely then it has zero crypto things... May even be a "enter your seed thanks" simple gui)
-
rbrunner
Kernel logging is essentail for crypto wallets :)

<2cansam:matrix.org> back in college they used to call me 2cansam because I could stack 2 coke cans on top of my dick.

<edge7:matrix.org> Just tested xmrig for Android. Seems to work fine even with p2pool. Pretty cool for 500h/s more with a phone which I don't use anymore
-
m-relay
<frightsi:waifuhunter.club> i've literally never heard of this one lmao

certanan
Hello, everyone. What address does change get sent to? Is it simply the wallet's primary address using a stealth address?
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> I think it depend of the wallet.
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> Feather wallet send it to the main address.
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> I'm thinking about it.. I think it's the case for most? wallet
-
certanan
I'm reading through the reference implementation and it appears to be the case:
-
certanan
`change_dts.addr = get_subaddress({subaddr_account, 0});`
-
certanan
Actually: The second argument is the subaddress index. And, if I understand correctly, the 0th subaddress is the primary address. Perhaps I'm missing something; I'll dig deeper.
-
certanan
Actually it's the minor index, meaning that the subroutine call refers an account's primary address (if that's what it's called)?
-
certanan
Is a wallet's primary different from its 0th subaddress?
