m-relay
<mrspenguin:monero.social> is there any reason to not run a pruned node over a full one?
-
selsta
full node is slightly better for contributing to the network
-
selsta
but running a pruned node also helps the network

That Cryptopolitan article has a factual error every 2 or 3 sentences. Respect.

-
rbrunner
Well, for me it's already over after the first 20 search results or so. And the 1 single post so far to r/cryptocurrency has met mostly yawns.
-
rbrunner
By loosing a mere 500,000 USD we are bloody amateurs. You have almost daily a project that loses millions.
-
rbrunner
Does not make it better for *us*, don't misunderstand me. But a coming public shitstorm is not one of our current problems, IMHO.
-
hyc
don't worry, I'm sure some malicious actors will stir it up more

m-relay
<intr:envs.net> I know the zcash shills on /biz/ are having a field day with it

<intr:envs.net> though I'm pretty sure it's just trolls

Thanks!

Hello, I followed the process to export outputs from my view-only wallet, import them into my cold wallet, export key images from my cold wallet, and import them back to my view-only wallet. The message I get is "Signed key images imported to height 2690860", which correspond to my last transaction. Should the height here state the height of the

blockchain, or the height of my latest transaction? Just want to make sure I've completed the steps correctly.
-
selsta
I think you are doing everything correctly
-
Guest63
Great. I had to export_outputs_all instead of export_outputs. I got this message "Failed to import outputs.: Imported outputs omit more outputs that we know of.". Hopefully that's not a bad sign. The last time I imported outputs into my cold wallet was in 2021-03-01. Regardless, it worked after I exported all outputs.
-
Guest63
To be clear, I got the message above when I export_outputs instead of export_outputs_all
-
Guest63
Do you know why I would have gotten "Failed to import outputs.: Imported outputs omit more outputs that we know of."? My spent balance is 0 and unspent balance is X after importation, looks correct to me.
-
Guest63
Maybe I'm being too paranoid.. My unspent balance is what I expect it to be. I expect the spent balance to be 0 since I never spent any Monero from this wallet. Total balance is what I expect as well.
