If you use features like "rescan spent", instead of obfuscating your requests, it does them in a trusted manner

an example: When opening a wallet with an untrusted daemon, it transfers ~3-10mb of data before actually syncing. with trusted, it syncs right away.

i guess you could say, untrusted (in some cases) adds noise to the connications
