<albertlarsan68:albertlarsan.fr> Hi!

br-m
<albertlarsan68:albertlarsan.fr> How does the merge mine data fit in a monero block?
-
br-m
<albertlarsan68:albertlarsan.fr> I don’t see anything when I use print_block.
-
sech1
It doesn't
-
sech1
Only the merkle root hash is stored in the block

for example @albertlarsan68:albertlarsan.fr to show that this merge mined two blocks elsewhere (Tari and P2Pool) I need to be aware of the other alternate chains and inspect their specific merge mine format to match against found blocks

hi hello, quick question out of curiosity about the tech cuz i was just wondering: so afaik every transaction is sent to a one-time key, so let's say i get 2 transactions, one of 5 units and another of 10 units, and assuming that i use the first transaction's key to spend, how do i half spend? like how do i spend 2 units? and if it's more or less "declare you're spending 2 units with the key of 5, then later 3 units with it" then doesn't that
-
krabrock
break the entire idea? i guess my main question is "how do you 'break down' a transaction to a split of more spendable units?" do you just make a transaction where you pay yourself 5 times from the 5 units key? or is it something very different? thank you!
-
Cindy
i think that's accomplished with change outputs (that send a certain amount back to the sender)
-
Cindy
iirc
-
DataHoarder
yes, change is sent back to yourself
-
DataHoarder
(on another ephemeral one-time key)
-
krabrock
Okay so if i understand correctly transactions are more of a K5 -> (Recipient 2), (Me 3), which could look like a transaction to 2 people, and even if you mark the change key as x prson, you'll never detect it spending
-
krabrock
okay i see
-
krabrock
interesting, thank you!
