<basses:matrix.org> tbh it doesn't affect getmonero "TLS" thingy as no user data required (email or password), iirc the issue was blockage of Tor users but idk if it was on the main site or CCS > <@sbt:nope.chat>

<spirobel:kernal.eu> @milas900:matrix.org: there was no 51% attack. If you have 51% of the hashrate you get all the blocks. they got 51% of the blocks for a certain period of time and used it to get attention to their pump and dump scheme. People are mentally potatoes and cant understand the difference. Especially crypto "press" will repeat anything especially if you pay them
-
br-m
<milas900:matrix.org> @spirobel:kernal.eu: But there was some block restructuring for some time it’s called lucky thing I am not sure . You can’t say there is no attack something happened
-
br-m
<milas900:matrix.org> And there was some proposal from monero also to improve security !!
-
br-m
<spirobel:kernal.eu> @milas900:matrix.org: yeah I cant spell out every single detail now. you can read the chat logs.

-
br-m
<namenet:matrix.org> There was no 51% attack. Qubic paid someone to verify this, and they wrote a report on it, but I forgot the name of the report, sorry. You can typically check for a malicious 51% attack using a Monero node and looking for double spends. None were found, so the attack never lived up to the hype
-
br-m
<interestingband:matrix.org> "non were found" it likely falls into category of provably wrong statement
