br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> Two more websites I discovered today that looked interesting yet turned out to be filled with AI-written articles:
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> monerowire.com
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> xmr.irish
-
LemonJuice67yeah ai written slop websites are overwhelming the internet. I just use whatever is given by monero websites or in IRC/Matrix chats.
-
BlueyHealerthe domains look like something from a phishing message
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> It's really annoying because like occasionally checking Monerica for growing Monero resources and you find out half of them are AI rubbish.
-
BlueyHealerDon't know a lot about Monerica. Does it have no moderation?
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> LemonJuice67: There's definitely a missing link here, the Monero Wire website just made me realize we don't have a new site that covers Monero AND general internet/financial privacy (that I know of). Most newsletters I'm familiar with are either or the other, never both.
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> There are a couple YouTube channels that fill this void, buy I'd also like a traditional news website.
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> BlueyHealer: It does. The admin is just too lenient I guess. And it's not like they don't use AI either, on the contrary.
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> This isn't exclusive to them either, XMRBazaar too, for example, used AI generated images for the banners.
-
br-m<pyratevevo:matrix.org> I already brought it up but we have a problem with the amount of AI usage in the community. Tons of low quality, demoralising garbage is spewing out lately.
