The battery is bypassed completely, and with the external cooling stand, thermals stay safe. I wouldn't risk a $2k+ machine for pennies without strict hardware management!

Software-limiting to 50% + active external cooling is just the most practical middle ground to keep the M5 hashing without cooking the lithium.

btw XMRig's dev branch has optimized code for ARM CPUs, 1-2% faster: xmrig/xmrig 720325c

if you build it, you'll get a small hashrate boost
