br-m<fallenserenity:matrix.org> I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any freelance work or small gigs that pay in Monero (XMR)?
-
br-m<fallenserenity:matrix.org> I am blind and use a screen reader, so I cannot do visually intensive tasks without AI assistance. That said, I am happy to take on repetitive or time consuming work. I can write blog posts, conduct research, perform OSINT, organize information, or help with other tasks that do not require sight.

br-m<fallenserenity:matrix.org> I am not looking for a job that pays thousands of dollars. My combined SSDI and SSI benefits total $908 per month, so even a small gig paying $10, $50, or $75 would make a real difference.[... more lines follow, see mrelay.p2pool.observer/e/mrXezJgLaHpHRlA0 ]

frashey, first time monero user here. Currently trying to setup a wallet on my linux machine using the GUI, but when I get to the "create new wallet" page and am asked to name the wallet, I am unable to press "next" as the button is greyed out, no matter what I do. Anyone know why this might be?
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> pick "advanced mode" and then set the wallet folder path to a directory that exists
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> OR you can use monero gui v18.5.0 to setup your waller
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> 18.5.1 is broke, 18.5.2 will have the fix

fras^ will try this one instad, thanks

frashow does everyone store their seed phrase? Was thinking of keeping mines on a bit of paper and putting it in my KeepassXC db
-
selstait depends on the amount you plan to store
-
br-m<rmditz:matrix.org> It might sound weird, but I bought one of those metal capsules that are usually for medical pills I think and wrote it on a piece of paper and stored it there
-
frasbr-m: that's quite a good idea now that I think about it
-
frasselsta: not really sure at the moment honestly, doubt it will be much though
-
selstafor small amounts a password manager is okay, higher amounts I would keep it only on a paper with backup, even higher amounts cold storage
-
niocI hope that paper inside metal doesn't get too hot :)
-
frasselsta: will keep that in mind, thanks
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> 18.5.2 is released now btw > <fras> ^ will try this one instad, thanks
