<sgp_> "> <@sgp_:monero.social> Recipien..." <- Question related to this. If there's a scenario where researcher/developer X is specialised at a certain task, and was interested in raising funding via MAGIC. However, for a variety of reasons they decided they would rather work through a company (we can think similar to how Sarang operated through CypherStack). Would it only be the company owner who needs to KYC to receive the

funds? At which point they're able to distribute them as they see fit?

But yes, we can pay companies. We don't need to KYC every dev of a company, just the company

* the company and manager/large owners

Thanks for the reply. Ok, seems like it may be a viable alternative for some scenarios.

Most people do businesses like this anyway. Funneling money through their business

Also noted that you can fund non-US companies, with the requisite W-8BEN-E form filled out.

> the experiment examined an innovative technology that was recently released that enables policy makers to set a periodic threshold for digital payments that can be made anonymously, beyond which payments are documented in the system. The findings of the experiment correspond with one of the motivations identified by the Steering Committee for the Potential Issuance of a Digital Shekel: providing the public with the option of using

has anyone had an issue where a node sometimes corrupts a wallets cache?
-
r4v3r23[m]
having this issue on monerujo/shruum and want to know if its specific to that app or a monero problem
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
<r4v3r23[m]> "having this issue on monerujo/..." <- App in my experience. Both corrupt the wallets during the "please wait" phase
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
When closing the wallet
-
r4v3r23[m]
ofrnxmr[m]1: that part takes ages
-
r4v3r23[m]
sometimes i have to force stop the app
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
r4v3r23[m]: Yeah. Sometimes it takes >1sec
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
sometimes it wont finish
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Sometimes the wallet corrupts afterwards
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Its not the node, as changing nodes doesnt seem to help.
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Example. The ability to set "No/a blank password" was disabled.
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
I found a workaround.
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
I couldnt figure out what was going on. Giving the "invalid node" error after login (before the workaround)
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
This leads me to believe the database is corrupt.
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Reset wallet fixes it with no changes to the node

r4v3r23[m]
trying to figure out the cause
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
I only use my own node. Have the problem monthly
-
r4v3r23[m]
and you have to reset the wallet yeah?
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Yeah, and it works again no problem.. until it goes into a loop during saving again
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Not a 100% fail rate when it doesnt save, but I *think* that is when monerujo and shruum corrupt the wallet data.
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Cake on the other hand does no sort of extended closing procedure
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Be a good idea to ask mayumi why closing wallets is not instant / what is going on
-
r4v3r23[m]
id rather deal with the corrupt files than use cake
-
r4v3r23[m]
ofrnxmr[m]1: i will. its been getting on my nerves
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
r4v3r23[m]: May I ask what your beefs are with cake?
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
I have a few myself lol, but as of current shruum and monerujo are a PITA
-

r4v3r23[m]
i dont use compliant wallets with CEOs
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
I dont care about the politics, I care about the code.
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
And cake has some funny going ons
-
r4v3r23[m]
im wondering if it has anything to do with v0.17.3.2 update. its been happening much more recently than before
-
r4v3r23[m]
it seeps into the code
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
I dont think so.
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Monerujo (and by extension shruum ) are the only wallets that behave like this upon closure (in my experience )
-
r4v3r23[m]
i was referring to the politics
-
r4v3r23[m]
right so its an app specific issue
-
r4v3r23[m]
ill ask aki next time i chat with them
-
ofrnxmr[m]1
Ill say it here. There is already a of fud surrounding cake. I dont care about the fud.... (full message at
