is there anything i can do to recover the funds or solve the unknown recipient details?

did you rescan your wallet after you made the transaction? or make the purchase on another device?

i updated to the most recent gui and now it's not connecting to the daemon

restarted pc to make sure

settings -> node -> click remote node -> click (+) add remote node -> address = selsta2.featherwallet.net port = 18081 -> click ok -> click once on this address in your node list under (+) add remote node -> go to info -> click on (change) next to restore height -> click ok -> ok

Wallets already "support" 0-confs: they are transactions with 0 confirmations

"Accepting" them means that you (the seller) decide to give your product to the buyer as soon as their unconfirmed transaction shows up in your wallet, instead of waiting for at least 1 confirmation

Correct me if im wrong, but as far as i know, but monero wallets cant transact unconfirmed coins, it would be nice if we could

there's slight risk but nowhere near as much risk as sellers face when they accept VISA & Mastercard due to their chargebacks

xmr.to operated for years on zero-conf and never lost a piconero AFAIK

it's a low percentage risk; i forget the exact number

the ceo (i think) of bitrefill, Sergej, just recently posted last week that they've lost 2 transactions over about 5 years due to zero-conf (out of millions of transactions), on the btc mailing list
