Are anon's PRs actually merged? Last time I've checked there was much more scarce review power invested into anon's PRs than there were ever reposes to the review points. All wasted time basically. Did anything change?

Opening the node to the public: You need to configure port forwarding.

For connecting a domain name: Create/Edit your domain's A record with the value of your public IP address.

I do not have a complete tutorial for both of these, but there are plenty of resources for each if you look up 'monero port forwarding,' or 'domain a record'
