If it works locally you should just need to open router ports and use your wan:port.

Some phones run fine with the battery disconnected/removed. Android TV boxes work well for nodes and mining

Okay. I don't really care about mining, just curious. I think I'll give it a try on a dedicated phone at some point soon. Much more convenient than leaving my laptop on all the time or playing catchup sync
