<Bon 💗> There is a new wallet and for which one
-
bridgerton[m]
<Bon 💗> I want to know
-
monerobull[m]
Morbinals, it's a modified monero cli but doesn't seem to actually work
-
bit_thanos[m]
which is wierd because they keep minting those punks
-
XMRPriest[m]
Can we verify they are actually on chain
-
XMRPriest[m]
The ones they have minted so far ?
-
boog900[m]
-
boog900[m]
Look at the size of the extra field
-
XMRPriest[m]
So if they are the only ones able to mint, what doesn’t make this a harmful attack
-
XMRPriest[m]
They could prevent everyone from minting and just spamming the network
-
ofrnxmr[m]
They arent
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Txextra as is, is unlimited
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Anyone can use kr
-
ofrnxmr[m]
We had mrl logs on chain already too
-
XMRPriest[m]
Plus the bee movie script, so anyone can mint I guess, so we just can’t use their NFT viewer if we mint our own
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Priest :P multitasking
-
DanIsnotthemanBr
dont bloat my 1TB ssd
-
bridgerton[m]
<Bon 💗> That's alot 😭for an SSD
-
bridgerton[m]
<Bon 💗> That's pretty dope actually

Monegro
Technical question.
-
Monegro
Technical question. I was under the impression that there's 32bytes * 16 outputs = 512 bytes of available space for hypothetical data storage in a single transaction output. But I was told that only 20 bytes per output are available. Just want to confirm that.
-
Monegro
So that would mean only 320 bytes for data storage
-
chesterfield[m]
Does anyone know if it's possible to mint the bee movie multiple times on the chain or do monero nodes prevent duplicate bee movie minting attacks
-
chesterfield[m]
asking for an 18000 person discord group
-
monerobull[m]
There's a limit on transaction size
-
monerobull[m]
<chesterfield[m]> "Does anyone know if it's..." <- Why would xmr nodes have a mechanism like that

bridgerton[m]
<Bon 💗> Is that Nagatoru in a cat costume behind loads of monero
-
cockliuser[m]
<bridgerton[m]> "<Bon 💗> Is that Nagatoru in a..." <- Yeah but AI-enhanced
-
cockliuser[m]
The AI makes it generic as hell
-
monerobull[m]
That was early days stable diffusion
-
monerobull[m]
When there weren't any custom models or anything like that yet
-
monerobull[m]
-
spacekitty420[m4
wen tx_extra removal? a month ago there was consensus on that MRL thingy to at least limit it so like... wen?
-
ceetee[m]
I think everyone agrees that it shouldn't remain as is, but there is no clear consensus on what to do
-
ceetee[m]
either removal or limit to an optional but fixed field of about 256byte

plowsof11: I know I read it haha, they said they are planning on asking for more funding, about 32000 dollars, so idk if they had already put in the new request or nah
-
plowsof11
transparency is good, the steps for obtaining funding where not mentioned though. their wallet sdk is 80% complete and has had made a positive impression on the seraphis migration group. if the proposer had known they would have needed to "develop an android wallet sdk with all these missing features from scratch because the monero codebase is so bad" perhaps things would be different. my goal is to bring that project to completion -

Rucknium[m]
Monegro: AFAIK, the only working implementation for steganography in Monero-formatted transactions is in Townforge, a Monero code fork game developed mostly by moneromoo. With ring size 16, you can put a 942 byte message to a recipient, only readable by the recipient. It's working in the Townforge testnet now.
-
dsc_
Rucknium[m]: I think also chat-messages are inserted into the mempool? :P
-
dsc_
IIRC
-
Rucknium[m]
If you use all 942 bytes, the recipient of the message know which ring member was the real spend. External observers do not know. Using fewer bytes to encode the message means that the effective ring size, as it appears to the recipient, is higher
-
Rucknium[m]
Things would be different with Seraphis. How? I don't know
-
Rucknium[m]
dsc_: Yes. There are public chat messages that appear in the mempool with zero fee so they are never mined into the blockchain. Eventually they drop out. The secret private messages are a different and new feature
-
Rucknium[m]
Townforge also already has native NFTs :P
-
DiegoSalazar[m]
Hello, is there any weebs here? What is the correct spelling of Monero Chan?
-
DiegoSalazar[m]
Monero-Chan? MoneroChan? Monero Chan?
-
cockliuser[m]
<DiegoSalazar[m]> "Monero-Chan? MoneroChan? Monero..." <- Usually most romanizations use the hyphen for honorifics
-
cockliuser[m]
So Monero-chan would be grammatically correct ig
-
nioc
monerobull[m]: ^^^
-
monerobull[m]
The subreddit said Monero Chan so i went with that

"Monero Chan Morbinals" looks good enough

ajs_[m]
mordinals or morbinals
-
monerobull[m]
The creator called them mordinals but that's dumb
-
monerobull[m]
I've been campaign for morbinals / morbs
-
monerobull[m]
More unique from BTC and meme background
-
monerobull[m]
You can say "it's morbin time" and then morb all over the morbchain
-
ajs_[m]
-
xmrscott[m]
<DiegoSalazar[m]> "Hello, is there any weebs here..." <- Speaker with a cert and xp to back it. For English written localization for this particular title you'd include the hyphen to designate connection.
-
xmrscott[m]
In the native language there is no hyphen and with some other titles like さん you're better off localizing it as Mr. Mrs. IMO instead of simply writing the phonetic -san
-
xmrscott[m]
In other words, just be aware the hyphen isn't a universal rule
-
ofrnxmr[m]
If youre speaking to Japanese people etc, use San
-
ofrnxmr[m]
Dont use Mr unless they do.
-
ofrnxmr[m]
There are many honorifics and they dont mean the same as they do in English
