plowsof: How is it going with updating the roadmap? Do you need some help?
-
plowsof
There has been a delay in deploying the site but the roadmap changes* have been merged. Very minimal changes / few details and lacking 2024 . This will be the one seen on next deployment for 18.3.3 soon
deploy-preview-2205--barolo-time-757cf9.netlify.app/resources/roadmap
-
plowsof
So yes we will need input on the roadmap e.g. to add more details as suggested in the PR

Countermeasures / research for black marble attacks (on - going) should be put in future (as they're currently being worked on
-
plowsof
The prev site maintainer did not want to include every minor release in the roadmap. Some disagree

<randomxplorer:matrix.org> When I have general questions regarding Monero, e.g. why av. tx cost is now 0.01 instead of 0.004 $, is this the right chat, or which one you recommend? Thx
-
m-relay
<aremor:matrix.org> RandomXplorer: Monero is the correct room
-
dEBRUYNE
plowsof: Actually it makes sense to include minor releases as well
-
dEBRUYNE
It gives a sign of activity
-
dEBRUYNE
plowsof: I will make a thread on Reddit today so we can get some input from the community as well
-
midipoet
doesn't the github repository give a better indication of activity? I thought roadmaps were forward looking. Are we going to estimate the scheduling of every minor release looking forward?
-
m-relay
<randomxplorer:matrix.org> To easy 😜 thx

Thanks dEBRUYNE!

<pcre:matrix.org> GenZ, which describes itself as digitally native, would be frantically typing away on their consumer devices instead of setting up a Linux mesh router. Learn Linux guys.

<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Exactly, on android we can run mesh networks, web servers, monero nodes, and a shit ton of stuff with termux

<snowman:tetaneutral.net> It’s very easy to use for communication. Encrypted messages, free encrypted cloud storage and simple restriction on apps like Facebook that want access to much of your data. For the lay person this is much easier on iOS than android. If you’re trying to do anything productive on a phone, that’s your first problem. You should be using a Linux laptop to be productive.

m-relay
<snowman:tetaneutral.net> Most android phones are laden with pure cancer out of the box

<snowman:tetaneutral.net> The sideloading app situation and termux are a vast improvement though so I’ll give it that
